Happy New Year! I know I am quite a bit late, originally I was gonna write a whole essay going in dept about my year and previous years for context. Once I started writing I realized I would never get it done at a reasonable time so for now I'll just keep it breif.

TORNADA 5

2023 was really great for me, me and everyone at Tornada got seroius about getting Tornada 5 done and it was really brutal and fun at the same time. It was a lot of pressure on me keeping things organized but I'm really lucky I had my team because it was a lot of work that none of us could have done ourselves.

I was really happy to see @ColeDawg and @Coinslot get out of their comfort zones for this stream and put out full length cartoons for the first time. @claykidNG and @Cokenutz refine their craft as artists and directors putting out some of their best work. @HabaneroTadpole @Hyperjam @xeedot and @gavmin came in clutch and essentially carried the stream by doing so many quality animated scenes and backgrounds and so fast as well, I dont want to forget to mention Hyperjam also directed and his cartoon was a great vibe and added a lot to the stream. I really want to thank @Alexmigo and @mikelzNG for being so supportive througout the entire process, I feel they kept reminding me why I feel the need to do this when I needed to most. I also want to thank @TomFulp for allowing us to have the stream on the frontpage banner while we were live, it really helped keep the night alive and high energy.

TORONTO MEETUP

Going to Toronto was a really amazing experience for me, I just barely got my passport in time and spent was supposed to be my first day in Canada in planes getting delayed all day but when I finally made it I felt rewarded. After no sleep I managed to keep my energy up for the rest of the night. We got some edibles before the screening so that made it interesting, put some things in perspective for me. I usually hated seeing people like XxSquidward on the portal but something about seeing one of his movies on the big screen in a room full of people reacting to it made me realize it's kind of beautiful how the kind of stuff that he makes or Dat Weasle are all grown from the same community as Aaron Long or Speedo, I see it as more flavor now something I might not always like the flavor but I'm happy I'm not forced to taste one thing. I wish I took more pictures while I was in Toronto, I felt like an anime fan going to Japan while I was there.

THIS YEAR

I don't want to give away too many details yet but I'm directing a project with Alex that should come out this year. The creation of it was pretty unique because after the stream was pver and when everyone was still in my house we just took out our sketchbooks and started conceiving our next project, it was pretty fun being in a room full of artist just throwing around ideas and character designs like that. Feels like the childhood dream of making cartoons. I will share some concept art for the cartoon we've done so far.

Hello Newgrounds! I don't speak here a lot but I'd like to make myself known and the same with Tornada. If you're already in the know then great! : ) For those who don't know you'd probably see Tornada and call it something like a studio or a production company or maybe animation group or something dumb like that lol. But I like to kinda imagine it as more of a group of close friends, we make stuff with a name but the friends come first before the "content" but we still all work hard on making great stuff. We've been hard at work making a 10 minute action cartoon for April Fools without telling anyone directed by @Hyperjam with a lot of additional art and animation by me and @Claykid12345

It's called Night Run

Me and Claykid specifically would stay up until close to 8 in the morning to get work on our scenes, and Hyperjam had to balance school work while also working on the cartoon every single day any minute he could. I do genuinely, truly believe the cartoon was really worth the work we put into it and it would mean a lot to me, Hyperjam, Claykid, all the voice actors who helped us out with it and everyone at Tornada if you gave it a watch at some point.
